Questions people ask us
The only photo I have is old and blurry. Is that a problem?
Usually not. Our artisans work from the face, and an old photograph still carries it. Send the best one you have — if we genuinely cannot work from it we will write to you before starting, not after.
How long will it take?
Each doll is made to order by hand. You will see a photograph of it before it ships and can ask for changes then. If you need it for a specific date, choose Fast Track at the shipping step or write to us and we will tell you honestly whether we can make it.
Can I have the dates left off the card?
Yes. Leave them blank and nothing is printed. You can also replace the verse with a line of your own.
Which size do people usually choose?
The 8 inch doll is the one most people order — big enough to hold, small enough to keep on a shelf or a bedside table. The 15 inch is chosen when it is meant to be hugged.
It is a pet, not a person. Can you still make it?
Yes. The same artisans make the pets, working from their markings and colouring. Send a photo where you can see them clearly.
What if it does not look like them?
Tell us. You see the doll before it ships and we will keep working on it until it is right — that is the whole point of sending you the photograph first.
A note from our workshop
Every set is handmade by a small team of artisans, so orders are stitched first-come, first-served. If you're gifting for a special day, the earlier you order, the safer your date.
